Vision

What an honor to add to the legacy of a beautiful and historic neighborhood such as Dove Springs. Our Willows Crossing project and team is working closely with the Dove Springs community leaders to establish worth, opportunity and affordable home ownership. Austin deserves more affordable housing, and so do the residents, and future residents, of Dove Springs.

Project Summary

Willows Crossing is a City of Austin owned property through its Community Land Trust, and Industry ATX is the hired developer. With the guidance of Forgecraft Architecture, this team will bring 38 affordable homes to the Dove Springs neighborhood. Willows Crossing offers 14, three bedroom townhomes,  12, two bedroom condos, and 12, one bedroom condos. This is a SMART Housing development that satisfies the Austin Energy Green Building Program, the National Green Building Program, and features many energy efficient systems, like heat pump water heaters. The back half of the property resides in a critical waterway that we will transform into an exciting recreational area for birthdays, daily exercise, and more.

Community Vision

The community we envision for Willows Crossing is warm and safe, vibrant and welcoming, exciting and green. We intend to build a small neighborhood of attached, aesthetically modern townhomes and condos that will provide a sense of pride and stability for all of the residents. As market land and home costs in Austin continue to be challenging to attain, we feel it is our duty to prioritize affordable communities for working families. Our team, along with Forgecraft Architecture, Citadel Development, and Radius Engineering, are committed to beautiful, sustainable homes that stand the test of time. 

Affordability

These homes will be sold to families earning both 60% and  80% of the Median Family Income for the Austin metropolitan area. We intend to offer ten of these homes at 60% of the Median Family Income. The others will be offered at 80% of the Median Family Income. Please make sure you ask our team which homes are associated with each level of affordability. By utilizing the City of Austin’s Affordability Unlocked program, we were able to increase the number of homes to 38, more than doubling the amount of families we can serve with this project.
